Recitals
Recitals Pic.jpg

Several times per year, all students are given the opportunity to perform in a music recital. Each student performs a piece of music (solo, duet, trio, etc.) and is accompanied by piano. These recitals promote personal growth in each student, encouraging them to reach high standards of performance for a live audience. Students of all levels can play in the recital.

Performances are held on Sundays at Lilburn Christian Church, located at 314 Arcado Road NW, Lilburn, GA 30047.

Rehearsals are held the morning of the recital. Each student has a 15–30 minute rehearsal time slot with our piano accompanist,  Lauren Blanchard. Sign up sheets for the student's preferred time frame will be available two weeks prior to the show.

Students should be at the church on recital day by no later than 30 minutes before the show. Rooms will be reserved for performers to warm up and tune. The entire studio enters the sanctuary as a group upon start of the recital.

Each student pays a $40 fee the week before the recital. This money pays the piano accompanist and pays a small fee to the church for use of their entire facilities for the day.

Students are required to wear formal concert black attire to the recital.

Attire choices:

  1. Dress black shirt with dress black pants, or full-length black skirt (the skirt length must be below the knee).

  2. Full-length solid black dress (the dress length must be below the knee).

  3. White button up dress shirt, tie, and black dress pants. Suit or sports jacket is optional, but should be black if worn.
